Holliday was a bad dude…a dentistry graduate from Pennsylvania, moved a lot between Georgia and the west, a long rap sheet, stabbings, fightings, arrests, accusations, robberies, in between, gambling in saloons, a rough life, he died of TB in Colorado not by a gun shot as depicted in this Hollywood piece of revised history…but in a bed…with no boots on. He knew he was a bad dude…expected to be killed at some point are people who live on the edge. Society is No Man’s Land to them, a battlefield. Awful how millions of kids grew up with this false understanding of their own history….too many…pity, —-the old adage applies, what you don’t won’t hurt you. But not knowing the truth in the past hurts people in the present. They have no reference point. A power of the medium to reach millions of people in theaters everywhere. It spread lies instead, who do you blame? The director, producers, actors, the whole dam industry, who?

Why did it said it was distributed by RKO but in wiki it said United Artists?

I like watching historical fiction westerns but this one is way too much fiction and far too little history. it seems to want to make a hero out of a sociopath, like they hve done today with Che Guevara.
I did not like the end Doc should’ve died
If you watch it at playback speed 1.25 it's not so boring.
Oh so cheesy and I loved it!
Say what you like about the quality of the screenplay, score, acting, cinematography, casting or direction of this movie, but there's one thing you can't deny…it's been 80 years since this "dog" was released and people still continue to watch it. All of the Batman, Spiderman, Fast & the Furious and Game of Thrones and any other piece of crap "franchises" will be forgotten in 20 years.
That was one weird trip!

…up in front of the dentist office….missing parts…
Nice title
I absolutely LOVE these old movies…back then they actually had to 'act' and have good stories…unlike today where everything relies on special effects and CGI… They were from the golden age of Hollywood and there are a lot of true gems out there…ones I know about ,and ones yet to be discovered… When I find one of these movies and view it for the first time and find myself enjoying it so much,I often wonder what it must have been like going to the theater back then and seeing a newsreel, some cartoons, and then an amazing double feature for like 50 cents…it truly was a magical time and this brings me as close to it as I'll ever get! I just subscribed,so thank you very much for giving me the experience to relive the so called…golden age of Hollywood films…I truly appreciate it…keep up the great work…
P.s.
I'd love to see Robin Hood, starring the great Errol Flynn…
I'm surprised this movie wasn't categorized as a comedy, what with all the gag sound effects.
That was an interesting movie. Thank you for sharing it.

'Here she is folks- the two and only Jane Russell!' (Bob Hope)
This is so funny to watch now.
They sure used to sh’t on women
Imagine the run Gregg Toland had been on: The Long Voyage Home, Citizen Kane and The Little Foxes, three of the best looking films in history. His reward for all that great work is to do this piece of garbage with America's most eccentric rich man. Even Toland's brilliance couldn't save this.
Jane Russell was very sexy in this.
